"famished for fiction" New Book Clubs at Golf and Park View Schools

Morton Grove Public Library talk books over lunch with Park View 6th Graders. A new book club "famished for fiction" started last week. Students get a chance to share with each other books they are currently reading . It's a great way to discuss many topics and recommend their favorites. Golf School 5th/6th Graders and Park View School 6th Graders 'famished for fiction' continues until winter break. New Sessions will begin in "2008" along with an added Club for Park View's 5th Grade. Stay tuned for more information....

Teen Reading Program - Going into 7th Grade

Mission: Possible!
Morton Grove Public Library
Summer Library Challenge for Teens and Adults
June 1 – August 3

The Morton Grove Public Library is challenging you to complete three kinds of missions this summer! Here’s how the Library Challenge works:

Sign up for the challenge at the Reference Services Desk
You will receive:
• two lawn passes to Ravinia Music Festival while supplies last. (The lawn passes may be upgraded at Ravinia to available reserved seating on payment of the difference in price between reserved seats and lawn passes.)
• coupons to use at Subway of Morton Grove
• mission log
• comment forms (that double as entries for the Grand Prize Drawing)

Complete four missions and choose a prize.
A mission can be: reading a book, listening to an audiobook, attending a program (film, concert, book discussion), playing a video game, watching a DVD, listening to a CD.

Fill in a brief comment form for each mission that you complete and turn in the form to the Reference Services Desk. The top part of the form is your entry for the drawing for one of three Grand Prizes. The bottom part of the form will become part of a mission report of anonymous comments and recommendations that will be on display.

All entries must be received by 6 pm, Friday, August 3, 2007.
